AIA Palm Beach proudly presents three candidates for the office of chapter director on the AIA Palm Beach board for a term beginning January 1, 2026 and concluding December 31, 2027. Voting is open to members of AIA Palm Beach from August 14, 2025 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern on August 21, 2025.

Dominic Arresta, AIA

Dominic has been a committed member of the American Institute of Architects, currently serving on the AIA Programming Committee for the past two years. He was actively involved with AIA Peconic in New York before joining AIA Palm Beach in early 2023. From 2013 to 2017, he was a five-time recipient of the AIA Foundation for Architecture Scholarship, an honor which solidified his dedication to the profession and its future leaders.

Dominic is a licensed architect in New York and Florida with a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, and residential design. Known for his strategic, detail-oriented approach, Dominic blends functionality with high-performance design, backed by strong Revit skills and deep knowledge of building codes. A graduate of SUNY Alfred, he consistently aligns aesthetics with efficiency and client goals.

His continued engagement with the AIA, combined with involvement in the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) and Filitalia International, underscores his commitment to both professional growth and the cultural fabric of architecture. Dominic seeks to bring this same passion and perspective to the AIA Board of Directors in 2026.

David Hawke, AIA

Actively engaged in Architectural profession by leading & directing Architectural & Engineers design consultants, General Contractors (CMAR's), regulatory agencies, Building Officials, code compliance colleagues, and construction teams through large complex public building, terminals, transit hubs, marine ports with extensive infrastructure. Successfully achieving completion of projects consisting of public buildings, facilities throughout design, construction, inspection, commissioning, & owner acceptance.­ Developing, evaluating, selecting, and awarding competitive RFP/RFQ tenders to qualified design consultants & Construction Manager Firms. Sharpening my Program Director expertise on AEC programs, Design/ Build, Resiliency, Sustainability within CM @ Risk Contracts while exceeding stakeholder expectation with on-time & under budget performances. Continue to develop my FBC, ADA, OSHA, LEED, WELL, ISO9001, LEED, PMP, or FAA daily code & safety construction inspections while advancing my professional certifications.­ Actively engaging with colleagues, general contractor, trade vendors, Product Approval directors, and manufacturers.

John Tuckus, AIA

With a strong background in architecture and a passion for advancing our profession, I believe I can contribute positively to our chapter and the AIA community as a whole.

As a licensed architect with 24 years experience, I have been actively involved in numerous design projects that emphasize innovative solutions and community engagement. My role as Senior Project Manager at REG Architects has not only equipped me with technical skills but also developed my leadership abilities and strategic thinking.

As a former Associate Director with AIA Palm Beach I am excited about the possibility of serving on the board again as Chapter Director and I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside dedicated professionals and to serve our community with integrity and purpose.
